Our 2 development ideas for Mui Wo

We've chosen 2 development ideas for Mui Wo after visited the island. Our ideas will tend to improve Mui Wo environmentally, socially and economically thus the locals there would have a better lifestyle.

1.  A campsite in a hiking trail 

A campsite could be constructed on butterfly hill for young campers from outside of Mui Wo to enjoy an overnight stay to experience camping outdoors. The camps include BBQ area...etc. Campers could also visit Silver Mine Bay Beach  the next day campers could travel around the island and perhaps visit silvermine beach for a beach clean up. This could teach campers how the environment should be treated. Young campers could walk around the island hike the mountains of Mui Wo and visit Silver Mine Caves, waterfall..etc to breathe in the fresh smells of nature. As displayed are multiple images of sites campers could visit or during their stay.

Socially

This idea would attract more tourists to Mui Wo due to the tourists rate of Mui Wo is not that high and also teach campers the right way to treat the environment.

Economically

This could also benefit economically as the fees from the campers could also cover the costs of the island and the usage of renovation of Wang Tong..etc.

2.  Renovate Silvermine beach Resort
Our second initial idea is the renovation of Silvermine beach hotel. Silvermine beach is not highly equipped with facilities and the accommodations for tourists aren't at the best quality either. Right now the price for an overnight stay is approximately $1560 or higher which is not exceptionally worthwhile for tourists.Why not renovate the rooms in the resort, add more facilities and include tours hence tourists from outside of Mui Wo could spend an eventful stay to attract them back for an overnight stay on the island again? The current provision of hotel facilities are meeting room, fitness room, swimming pool, Spa and tennis court. If the hotel opens a kids club, it would be convenient as couples could leave their kids at the club and let them enjoy their time there. What are the features of Mui Wo? A cultural heritage museum would be built inside the resort and tourist could have a grasp of the culture in Mui Wo. Entrance would be granted complimentary for the guests at the Silver Mine Beach Resort. The resort would also offer tours including ie. farming, watersports, hike...etc.

Socially
This idea also benefits locals, the provision of jobs as many work at markets. This notion would increase and economically this would allow Mui Wo's community to renovate and improve the lives of many people on the island. This would also broden tourist's knowledge on the cultural heritage of Mui Wo.

Economically
Economically, the hotel would make more money as well as the public as more tourists would be attracted to the island. The existent rooms at the resort as mentioned before "not at the best quality" and the money would not be worth for a stay.
